As you visit Halifax, it will be encouraging to take a downtown historic city tour. Our tour will commence from Pier 21 with its Historic block as the “Ellis Island” of Canada, where more than one million immigrants came through and more than 500,000 left from during WWII.

From there we will visit St. Paul’s Church, the oldest Anglican church in Canada. As well, St. Paul’s Church was among some of the buildings that withstood the Great Halifax Explosion of 1917. We will drive onto Fort Needham Hill where a memorial carillon was built for the victim’s of that explosion.

Our next call will be at Fairview Cemetery where some of the victims of the ill-fated RMS Titanic were buried. We then drive to the southwest of the city, among the attractions here are the Public Gardens (the oldest in Canada), the hospitals which comprise of the Grace Maternity Hospital, IWK Children Hospital and Victoria General Hospital. On the same route we will visit Dalhousie University. Dalhousie was established in 1822 and is rated among the Top 10 in Canada (as well, it was an honor for me that I was privileged to grace the magnificent classrooms of Dalhousie). We will visit the Student Union Building, Arts Centre, Computer Science Building and the Weldon Law Building among others. On the same route we will travel southward to see some of the historic and Victorian style buildings.

Point Pleasant Park will be our next stop. We will then follow a different route to the famous Citadel Hill Fortress. This will be the highlight of our city tour. The vantage point that the Citadel Fortress offers will attract even the amateur to snap… snap… snap. The whole tour will take between two and three hours including picture stops.

We can also accommodate special needs and personal tour arangements such as bus charters, cruiseships shore excursions, family vacation, senior groups, etc. No itinerary too small or large we cannot handle.
